If God answered the prayer of Satan even after the latter disobeyed His direct command to bow to Adam….. then what about you? You who are trying to make things right even when you feel you’re not there yet. You who pray in parking lots and dressing rooms and random tucked away street corners. You who feel guilty after indulging in what you know you should stop doing. What about providing for your family? What about taking care of your children? What about accepting that life is filled with pain and calling out to Him that you don’t understand the wisdom, but you’re accepting of the tests because you believe in His greater plan?
If God could answer the prayer of the most cursed being, then how could you even doubt for a moment that He would not answer your call?
He loves you, struggling believer. He loves and appreciates your struggle, even when you border on hating yourself. Don’t underestimate the vastness of His Mercy or the depth of His understanding of your most intimate struggles. Raise your hands and call to Him and know that He will undoubtedly answer, even if you don’t quite understand the answer at first.
The Prophet (p) taught, “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication) He becomes shy to return them empty.” (Ahmad)
